all purpose flour, 2xcups
2 tbs of water
one egg beaten with fork
1x tsp of vanilla essence, or lemon
2xtsp of baking powder
fruits - I used currants and raisins
the Nuts I used 3x Brazil 8x almonds,3xwalnuts 6x hazelnuts and grind in a coffee grinder add to flour all of the above just mix in the bowl with a spoon till it all gels together,
then line a baking sheet with greased proof paper.
the oven needs to be set to 200
|egg water and lemon essence|
use two small tsp and spoon mixture in small amount onto the paper allowing space for the mixture to spread as it cooks.
|set oven at 200|
OK the prep was about 15 mins and cooking time only 12 mins ( ovens vary)
Then let them cool on the paper for a nice soft texture or remove onto a wire rack so they cool down and become crisp.
I prefer the first but it would not do for us all to be the same. What I can tell you is they are very easy to make and the kids will love it when you present them with the finished product for them to eat.
