V - Are You Ready For The Next Seafront Condo in JB

I quite like this video and for mw it has the fun factor and just love the sound of high rev engines,
I have been down to V's headquarters a few times and on my last Visit actually seen the porcher car and it looked so cool.

The Condominium called Summer place  is about to emerge on the seafront of Johor Bahru and will be a beacon for miles. looking at the show homes I can tell you it is one Quality designed project, Owned by Connoisseur. But I wont spoil it for you as you can go to the prelaunch open day.

Wow! Such A Head-ache - Google Chrome to the Rescue.

No wonder I got a headache Lol.....
Oh wow Scary hey!

I was playing around with my webcam last night and downloaded a app called webtoy, and boy is it a toy I was playing with it for ages, and every time laughing so much my tummy hurts.
I was having problems with Safari, due to upgrading to the latest lion software.

And every page that loaded i got a warning box, saying that java had error , so I click ok and the box comes back well after 20 clicks and it still comes back you can see why I got P____ssed Off with it.

So Google Chrome to the rescue and wow it's so much faster and better, everything seams so much clearer and their is so many apps to make it even better.

So when things are not looking good, I guess there is always a solution, the trick is - finding it.

ha! ha! Still laughing at my horrible photo above.
The App is free and I recommend you get it your kids will love it and not stop laughing.......

Sign of the Times.. But would they help!

I am all for anything that will stop drink driving.

And I think that this sign although Funny at first, does actually have a place in our society.

After all nothing can be worse than to lose a loved one to Drink Driving Accident.

In fact Accident is the wrong word, Murder would be a better one to use. After all getting behind the wheel of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol is tantamount to loading a shotgun you might not use it, but if did and you killed someone, it would be murder.

I never understood in the UK that they allow you a little alcohol say half a pint of beer before it shows on the breathalyser machine.
Why! Allow any Alcohol At All - If you Drive Do not Drink - Simple.

Yeah! it's Weekend - Watch Out For Spy's

Is this how your week goes, if so you can now enjoy a relaxing drink.
but Watch out for Spy's, Can you spot the Spy… lol

CCTV Comes To Johor Bahru, New Security Measures.

Yeah ha! CCTV caused lots of out cry in the UK when it was put into the city centers, the people said it was big brother spying on them, Of course this was true, but it was in the interest of the public.

From my point of view I saw a lot of reduction in the bad behavior and crime but in the case of the younger element on the streets, this was a little different because the police put their pictures all over the press to make an example of them.

But guess what?. It backfired because the youths thought this was hilarious and went out on intended act of destruction of property etc: just so they to could be put into the papers.

But for all intent and purposes it worked.

Or (food for thought) did it just managed to move crime to other areas of no cameras.

But on the good side these cctv units have actually helped thousands of people, from kids going missing and being found by the cctv cameras, to accidents happening and because they was spotted on the cctv the emergency crews were alerted and in some case got to the scene in time to save the injured people who otherwise would have died at the location.

What do you think about the CCTV being installed.

Well they found the leaking pipe and repaired, all that remains is the plastering of the walls, I hate the smell of plaster as it dry s but just have to grin and bear it.

But I just love having the peace and quite, and do my work without the banging noises, so I better get on and earn some more DOSH so I can Pay the plumbers and plaster's.

Day Two In Banging Cloud

Well the guys are back and lots more banging taking place as they try to uncover the leaking pipes that are sandwiched between solid concrete walls.

I have to say that installing pipes between solid concrete is crazy, OK inlay the pipes with a cover over them for repairs or inspection, but to close in like this is a stupid idea…..

Got to go put headphone on as so loud… bye 4 now...

Suffering in a Cloud of Banging and Concrete Drilling

The dreaded Leak was back in the Master bathroom and in order to get to the burst pipe the wall had to drilled and chopped out, bang bang bang, drill drill drill your gat the idea.

But it has to be done and best way is to just let them do their work as quickly as possible without any interruptions from me.

My poor cats will be wondering what's going on. and my lovebirds have just decided its to loud and stuffed their head under their wings lol.

I'll have to seek out refuge on my balcony with pair of music headphones on and just enjoy the music and view...

Farmlands Promotion Via Groupon

We took advantage of the Groupon promotion and had a really good meal at the Farmlands Restaurant in Sutera Shopping area.

The voucher was for RM14.95 but the value of the meal is around RM29.80.

We had ours with Pumpkin Porridge Stock to cook our food in and it was so good.

These are some photos I took of the meal and the restaurant.

Food Court Premium Outlets in Johor Bahru

Hi folk's

We went to the Premium Outlets and found all shops now fully open, last time I went was about 7 months ago and while it was OK a lot of the shops were not open.

I went about 3.30 pm and found it to be very quiet, I guess about only 3-500 people, but I preferred it to be honest, as I had no problems getting around and had a meal in the Food Court.

Again Last we was out their the food court had only about 3-4 stalls open but now fully open and the food we had was not bad for the price.

Words To Live By……...

These words are so true, and I feel that anyone following them should have a wonderful life.

In todays life their are to many sad stories on the news channels be it news papers or tv.

It's so nice to come across some new inspiration from words  written by who? I don't know as I was sent them in an email, but they sure have lots of powerful meanings to them..

I hope they have good meaning to you -

Shopping Bags Revenge Attack - So Funny to Watch

Morning Folk's

I was just sent this video and you have to watch it (Probably more than once) as a motorist honks his horn at an old lady to hurry up. She then hits his car in just the right spot that it explodes his air bag into his face. and she does not blink an Eye….

You can hear the lady who was filming her son skateboarding at the time laughing her head off - it's so funny it will make your day….

Cats Play House - Home Made Save $$$$

Cats Play Toys,

I was online looking at items for sale for cats on Amazon and was surprised by some of the prices for the items.

I decided that I could make they toys myself and while not as posh would still give the cats a wonderful play area.

Now for the pictures…..

You can see two holes but in fact there are about four holes I have made hole from the bottom box up into the second box, so they can climb up as well as through, as all the boxes are joined together.

As soon as I put them in the cats room they spent the rest of the day playing in them.

Cost for all this was ZERO as I had the boxes in stock.

Not bad hey!!………...

Breaking News, Smoke Emanates From Office Building in JB Town Centre?

I put a Question Mark at the end of the headline because although I can see the smoke emanating from the Office building in Johor Bahru CBD ,I can not state if it was a fire.

Although looking at the photos I took, it sure looks like it and by the sounds of the Sirens and I saw about three Ambulance with full lights and sirens all heading to that building area.

I just hope no one was hurt in it.

Anyone know what it was? leave a comment to enlighten us, I will of course if I find out, Update it later but it's only happening as I type .

OK, I can no longer see any smoke which suggest that the fire department has it under control.

This all happened around 10.30am 16th July 2012.

Titanic Marathon Sunday July 2012 - So Good

Titanic: Blood and Steel

Titanic: Blood & Steel is the new TV series in 12 parts, recently completed. It is based on the construction of the Olympic Class liner "Titanic" in the Harland & Wolff Shipyard in Belfast  Most of the filming for this TV series took place south of the border in Dublin.

Did you watch it on Sunday - I set myself up for the long haul, with lots of snacks, precooked food that just needed heating up in the intervals of the show.

I really enjoyed seeing it like this all in one go, as I tried to watch the series but you know how it is, you get caught up in your life and time for the tv does not always fit in.

I not only enjoyed the filmed events but learnt quite a lot too, for instance I never knew that the then young Churchill had visited ireland to give a talk on home rule…

I also never knew that steel when sailed in cold waters made the steel brittle as a posed to sailing in warm waters. they did a test with in the series that showed cold steel plate dropped onto the ground shattered but when another bit of steel was warmed up before dropping from the same hight only bent slightly, Why would this interest me? Well I am at the moment in the process of purchasing a blue water yacht made of? yes, you guessed it Steel from the 1960's, - So I shall be looking to see if they have developed a method of strengthening the steel for cold waters, and see what the surveyors says.

She is a 38foot ketch...

The Fish FRY are much Bigger Now….

I like buying Fry from the pet shops, because if you are lucky, amongst them you can find one or two very special fish that grow into really nice adults, with lots of color and character.

I mean you get one or two scoops for about RM2 then its just matter of feeding and watching for the ones that grow with a bit of color and shape to them.

Once you find them you can keep the ones you like and put the others out into the pond in the garden, this will them allow the ones you like to grow,(If you do not remove the other fish them this will stunt the growth of your selected fish as they will only grow to the capacity of the tank they are in.)

If you look at these photos you will see that most look exactly the same, but looking close you will see some chiclids some guppies both are good little fish that can grow up real nice with nice colors etc:

Out of this lots I can only spot about two I really would like to keep, but I am going to keep them together another month to see if any late bloomers.

New Website For Car Lovers

This is a snapshot of the new website I have been working on.
Anyone that knows me will tell you I love cars especially the exotic ones, the ones I like to call Cool Cars.

The good thing about this website is that it will allow visitors a chance to air a point of view as to how they like the car on show, what they would to do to make it better, modifications they would like to carry out on it etc.

You get the drift I want it to be something guys and girls can look forward to each day and see what new cars have been added.

I have included a car calendar to the site, this allow visitor to see what days I added cars to the website, this will save time for them if the day they arrive is not highlighted then for that day I have not yet updated it, so they can move on and come back later.

I also added lots of social links so then can share the cars they find with others in their social groups, again to make it easy for sharing.

Well I hope you enjoy it if you get time in your busy day to pop over and visit the site. I also added a free Vintage Car Slide show to download and watch on your power point or slide show software - its so cool to see these majestic cars from the 40s, 50s and indeed the 60's.

These cars were so big and fins at the back etc take a look its a fast download, and its free. we like free things.

some sample shots of cars you can see in the free download…

They say that - they don't make em like they use to. but looking at the size of these it's no wonder they would cost a fortune to feed them petrol every day. but I have to give it to the car builders of the day, they all had great character  and poise.

Expats Keeping Contact With Home Country

Keeping in touch with loved ones back home is easier now than ever.

The choices are so vast that you now have no excuses for not keeping in contact with people back in your home country.

Ok lets list some of the best ways to keep in touch….
  1. Smart phones , apps like Skype etc, msn, yahoo,
  2. pc, notebooks etc, Skype, face book, email,
  3. Letter Writing - out dated but how nice is it to receive a letter from someone abroad.
  4. Telephone
  5. IDD phones, Voip via pc,smart phones
These are just some ways but the best one for me is the video calls you can make via Skype, yahoo, msn etc. And most are free

So just think on, as you really do not have an excuse for not making contact.

Make that call today………

Also on another idea, is to keep up with whats going on back home by listening to your local radio from home via satellite online,

Just type in the name of the radio station into google search and it should come up with a listen now button, then all you do is save the page for future listening.

It's funny because I often talk to family about stories that happened near them and they don't know about it lol.

Pamplona Bull Runs in Spain 2012

San Fermin Bull Runs

The festival of San Fermin, or the Pamplona bull running as it’s more commonly known outside Spain officially begins at midday on 6th July every year with the ‘chupinazo’ which takes place on the balcony of the Casa Consistorial in Pamplona.
Thousands of people congregate in the square awaiting the mayor’s official announcement that the fiestas have begun, a rocket is launched and the partying begins.

The bull runs date back as far as the 13th century and used to be run in the month of October.

Over many years the mainly religious festival of San Fermin was diluted by music, dancing, bullfights and markets such that the Pamplona Council proposed that the whole event be moved to July 7th when the weather is far more conducive to such a celebration. To this day San Fermin remains a fixed date every year with the first bullrun at 8am on July 7th and the last at the same time on July 14th.

A third rocket is set off once all the bulls have entered the bullring and the fourth, and final, rocket means that the bulls are now in the bullpen and the bullrun has finished.
